Tom is a Manager in the Human Capital Services practice at Grant Thornton. He has almost ten years of experience in payroll processing and employment tax consulting services. Tom has extensive experience in the following areas: • Federal & multi-state payroll operations and employment tax compliance • Advising and assisting clients with employment tax issues in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring • Identifying refund opportunities in connection with employment tax overpayments • Annual information reporting on Forms W-2 & 1099 • Worker classification issues • Penalty Resolution • Taxation of fringe benefits Tom is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and the American Payroll Association. Tom holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, Economics, and International Business from Loyola University Chicago.
