Michael Forster

Mike is Chief Financial Officer of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (“The Wilson Center”). Created in 1968 by the United States Congress with a statutory board appointed by the POTUS, the Wilson Center is one of this country’s leading think tanks and serves as the official memorial to the 28th President of the United States. As Chief Financial Officer, Mike leads all strategic financial initiatives, helping the Center toe-the-line of its legal status as both a federal instrumentality and a NFP enterprise. He is senior advisor and liaison to the board, CEO and leadership team on all financial matters. He coordinates directly with the U.S. Office of Management & Budget for federal appropriations, and strategically advises on the Center’s wide array of non-appropriated resources, and supports leadership of the other administrative functions. Mike earned his BBA at George Washington University and his MSA at Central Michigan University, is a member of the AICPA and GWSCPA, and is currently serving a 4 year appointment on the FASB Non-profit Advisory Committee (NAC).
